BREAKFAST CLUB PLAYWORKER - Required Immediately

Band 1, Point 1 - 3 (Unqualified) £17,842 to £18,562 per annum pro-rata

Actual salary £3161 to £3289 per annum

Or Band 2, Point 4 – 5 (Qualified) £18,933 to £19,312

Actual salary £3356 to £3422

7.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday – Term Time only plus 5 days INSET)

Working Hours: 7:30am to 9am

Permanent (subject to probationary period)

We are looking for a highly motivated Breakfast Club Playworker to join our expanding extended services team.

The role will involve:

  • Working in close partnership with the Club Manager, the Club Deputy and the rest of the team.
  • Delivering a range of exciting activities to Early Years, Infant and Junior children.
  • Supporting the rest of the club team in ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Contributing to ensuring a calm and safe environment.
  • Communicating effectively with parents/carers.
  • Maintaining the outstanding ethos of the school.

You will need to:

  • Be highly motivated and enjoy working with primary aged children.
  • Enjoy working as part of a wider team.
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills which are essential to liaise with parents, carers and other professionals.
  • Be able to prepare and deliver a variety of age-appropriate activities.
  • Be reliable, have excellent attendance and keep to good timekeeping.
  • Have a sound understanding of safeguarding children.
  • Hold a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or be willing to undertake training).

Actual salary £6711 to £6845 per annum

15 hours per week (Monday to Friday – Term Time only plus 5 days INSET)

Working Hours: 3pm to 6pm

Permanent (subject to probationary period)
