Volunteering in School

'Caring, Achieving and Making a Difference Together'

We believe that the involvement of parents, carers  and volunteers in children's education is vital and we encourage active participation in many ways. Some volunteers come into school to help with a variety of tasks such as reading, painting, sewing etc. and usually work with individuals or small groups in specific classes. Volunteers also support on educational visits outside of school or get involved with PTA events.

Parent/Carer Volunteers

Class teacher's will ask for regular volunteers to help with activities such as helping with reading or art. They will also ask for one off helpers as needed e.g. for baking, sewing or supporting on an external visit. Please note that parents and carers will not be placed in the same classroom as their child.

Community Volunteers

We welcome requests from members of the local community who are interested in volunteering in our school.

The Friends of Templemoor - Our PTA

For more information on how you can help at PTA events such as the disco, summer fair etc please see the PTA page on this website.

All volunteers in our school are asked to fill in a volunteer application form, which can be found in the Volunteer Policy below.

Volunteers may also be required to complete an enhanced DBS check - further information is available from the school office.
