Templemoor Infant & Nursery School

At Templemoor we pride ourselves on being a small, family-feel infant school who help to develop 'little people' to have 'big dreams'. We believe that reading opens up the world and want every child to leave us with the literacy and numeracy skills needed for the next stage of their education and beyond. Academic development is a priority but we understand that learning does not need to be confined to the classroom and our fun and engaging lessons mean that children learn in a variety of  different ways.

We recognise that, with the right support, even our youngest learners can use equipment such as hammers, saws, sewing machines and green screens. They are able to build dens, light fires and chop their own vegetables! All under the watchful eye of our dedicated staff of course!

Our school values of 'caring, achieving, making a difference together' permeate through everything we do ensuring our pupils grow up to be well rounded individuals. Developing pupils mental and physical health is also a priority and through daily check ins and laps of our 'daily mile' track children are encouraged to have a healthy body and mind.

Promoting UNICEF Rights of a Child, we encourage all children to have a voice and to stand up for what they believe is right. Our Rights Respecting Team and Infant Leadership Team help make changes within the school and ensure children know that their opinions matter.

Whilst I could write  pages and pages about the fantastic things that happen under the Templemoor roof, the best way to get to know our school is to see it for yourself. Please look out for open evenings or contact the school office to arrange a tour. In the meantime, I hope the website gives you a flavour of what Templemoor has to offer. Don't forget to have a look at our Alumni page to see the 'not so little people' who once attended Templemoor and the 'big dreams' that became a reality!
