During the Coronavirus pandemic, it is important to look after our mental health and wellbeing especially as the measures in place to keep us safe may limit our usual actions to respond to stress. We hope that you find the resources on this page useful.

EVERY MIND MATTERS
‘Every Mind Matters’ can get you started with a free NHS online plan, showing you simple steps to help manage anxiety, to sleep better and boost your mood. Get your own ‘Every Mind Matters’ mental health action plan here.
The latest ‘Better Health - Every Mind Matters’ campaign provides lots of advice on specific issues such as anxiety, low mood, stress, sleep and Coronavirus. The advice is for everyone - parents, children and young people and can be accessed here.

ANXIETY
We are aware of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the anxiety levels of adults and children. Fears and worries are a normal part of child development and the content of fears change according to developmental stage. Anxiety disorders occur when the intensity of the fear or worry is so high that it starts to impact on the child’s functioning and well-being and/ or when the anxiety is out of content with their developmental stage. If you are concerned about anxiety you may find the information here helpful.
 
Don’t forget that simple techniques like breathing can help a great deal for children or adults feeling anxious. The app ChillPanda is especially good for calming down. A link to the app can be found below.
