OUR CORE VALUES

Through installing of our core values, we create a positive culture for teaching and learning which is based upon valuing ourselves, each other and the environment.

Our school values support the development of the whole child. Our core values are reinforced and demonstrated throughout our school day and activities.

Our Core Values are:

CARING - We care for and respect each other.

ACHIEVING - We love to learn and achieve.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE - We make a difference in our world.

TOGETHER - We have fun working together.

Parents are encouraged to support values at home through the school’s newsletter in which there is a section dedicated to values which explains the value of the month and how parents can support at home.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Templemoor - Caring, Achieving and Making a Difference Together
THE TEMPLEMOOR LEARNING POWERS

At Templemoor we believe that learning shouldn’t just take place in the classroom or when there’s a teacher present. We want to create life-long, ambitious, capable learners who know how to independently take control of their own learning and more importantly have the skills to be able to do this. Pupils who are more confident of their own learning ability learn faster and learn better. They concentrate more, think harder and find learning more enjoyable.

Based on a combination of Guy Claxton’s ‘Building Learning Power’ initiative and Carol Dweck’s ‘Growth Mindset’ research, we have developed our own approach to helping children to become better learners, both in school and out.

Welcome to our very own 'Templemoor Learning Powers'.
