Year 1 Remote Learning

WELCOME TO REMOTE LEARNING FOR YEAR 1
Remote learning activities for Year 1 for the week beginning Monday 18th January 2021 can be found below.
WEEKLY TIMETABLE AND ACTIVITIES FOR WEEK BEGINNING MONDAY 18TH JANUARY 2021
PHONICS AND READING ACTIVITIES
Reading and Phonics Books

A separate reading and phonics plan will be emailed to you every Friday. This plan relates directly to what your child would be doing this week at school. As reading and phonics is such an important part of early years development we will be providing new books for collection every week. During your daily exercise we would be delighted if you could drop off books that have been read and collect new books every Wednesday. A new reading book, a Read, Write Inc. (RWI) phonics book and a library book will be available for collection. (library books only for Nursery children). Please see the timetable below. You may pick up books for siblings during one of the appropriate time slots. We know how busy you all are trying to work and home school. If you can only focus on one thing then a short amount of phonics practice or reading a few pages of a book each day would be brilliant!

Year Group Wednesday
Nursery 9am to 10am
Reception 10am to 11am
Year 1 11am to 12pm
Year 2 12pm to 1pm
When collecting books please wear a face mask and remember to social distance at all times. Please leave the site as soon as you have collected your books. Further information can be found in the letter below.  Thank you.

Remote Learning Exercise Books

School has provided a remote learning exercise book for children to record their work. These books should be brought back to school on your child's return.

SUPPORT AND SHARING WORK WITH YOUR CHILD'S CLASS TEACHER VIA SEESAW

From Monday 18th January we are using Seesaw to tell the children about the activities and tasks that they will be doing that day.

You may also use Seesaw to send your child’s work to their class teacher. This will be much quicker than having to upload work via the remote learning email address. However, we will keep both communication tools open for the time being until we all get used to using Seesaw. The remote learning email address for our Year 1 classes can be found below.

You may also use Seesaw to contact teachers Monday to Friday 9.00am to 3.30pm. Again, the remote learning email inbox will continue to be monitored.

Further information about Seesaw can be found below. A link to the Seesaw login page can also be found by clicking on the Seesaw image above.
